Matt Flake

Matt Flake grew up in Leitchfield, Kentucky and started playing music when he was 9 years old. Growing up, he won multiple instrumental contests and joined his first Bluegrass band, Blue Tradition, at the age of 14.
After graduating high school in 2004, he joined his first professional Bluegrass band, Pine Mountain Railroad, where he recorded several albums, including “Pickin’, Praisin’, Singin’, which was nominated for a Dove award.
After several years there, Matt went on to help form a group called Monroeville in 2010. Throughout the years, he has been a member and performed with several bands, including Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, The Cleverlys, and most recently, toured with Andy Buckner, opening up for country sensation, Zach Top. 
Matt works as the Entertainment Director at Ole Smoky Distillery and is also a Realtor in East Tennessee.
