Russell Moore, the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Most Awarded Male Vocalist, has once again staked claim to the award. During the 30th Annual IBMA Awards held in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 26th, the association presented Moore with the honor for the sixth time. Unable to attend due to he and his band performing in Maryland, Moore sent along these words:
“Upon being named MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR by the IBMA, my thoughts turn to how excited, honored and deeply humbled I am by this decision. This God-given talent has allowed me, through music, to see and experience things that I only dreamed of as a younger man. With the love and support of my family, friends, fans, IBMA voting members and all the bluegrass community, I can honestly say that I feel truly blessed and can only reflect on a career that has given me so much joy. I will wear the ‘hat’ proudly and try to make everyone proud of your decision here tonight.”
