Hello & howdy!

There's going to be several changes to the IIIrd Tyme Out website soon. Our webmaster is ready to change the pages to reflect who is currently a member of the group, update the BIOGRAPHIES page & 'MALL' page.....just a general update to the site.

He's going to be adding several things to the 'MALL' page. Our DVD from the Mountain Arts Center is ready and is available at our concerts and by mail order. If you don't want to wait until it's available on the 'MALL', just write me a note from the 'DROP US A LINE' page and I'll give you info. on how to order it by mail. Also, we'll be adding a new CD from Rounder that is a compilation of our recordings from them PLUS! two songs that have never been released by IIIrd Tyme Out (Footprints in the Snow & One Kiss Away From Loneliness)!!! There's going to be a new, denim, ball cap available as well as a new 'GOT GRASS' t-shirt so keep checking back and we'll get the site updated as soon as possible!

Ray, Steve and myself, are helping secure showdates for IIIRD TYME OUT until the 25th of November, 2007. After November 25th, Steve and I will be handling the booking of IIIrd Tyme Out. If you'd like to talk to one of us about your show or festival, you can contact Steve at (919)398-0366, or myself (Russell) at (678)644-9276 or Ray at the contact info. listed on the 'contact' page of this website.

I'd like to talk about an issue that has come up a few times this year at our live shows. We have always been glad to take requests for specific songs in our programs and we try our best to include them whenever possible and/or appropriate. To be honest, there's no way to include all of the requests we recieve during one of our performances. Heck, there are some groups that will not take requests at all. Having said that, there are many factors that play a part in whether we're able to get to your request, or not, and I just want to say that there's definitely nothing personal in the decision making progress. We're in the entertainment business, not in the business of upsetting someone. If we're not able to get to your request, possibly we'll be able to get to it at the next performance you attend. Bottom line is, we're glad to take requests, and perform them when we can, but please don't get upset with us if we're not able to. We cherish all of our friends and fans that support us and we realize that it takes all of you to keep us going and we're doing the best we can to make our shows as enjoyable as possible for everyone who attends one of our concerts.

The chat group (on YAHOO) that was started by Penni Walker is doing really well and has seen several people sign up from all over the country! We definitely want to give a 'shout out' to Penni!! She's a sweetheart and is doing a great job managing this site. If you'd like to be a part this group and chat with other IIIrd Tyme Out fans, just CLICK HERE and it will take you right to it. If you don't have a YAHOO ID, it's easy to join. Just click on the 'Join This Group' button at the top right of the page.

We also have a chat group (on GOOGLE) that was started by Amanda Smith, and we want to thank her for starting this group and invite all of you to join up!! She's truly a IIIRD TYME OUT fan and I know she'll enjoy reading your posts and chatting with you. Just CLICK HERE to go to the GOOGLE chat site and join in the fun!!

Okay, thanks for listening and thanks for visiting the site and for your support of IIIRD TYME OUT!!

Russell

Also joining us on the cruise will be The Grascals, Nothin' Fancy, Williams and Clark Expidition, and of course our host Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. There will also be one more band added. I will let eveyone know as soon as the name of the group is released. REMEMBER, THIS CRUISE IS FOR 2008. You can check out www.bluegrasscruise.com for more information. You can also call 1-800-598-8803. We have played on a few cruises before, and I must tell you, if you go with us, you will have a great time. We are looking forward to having many of our fans on board with us. If you sign up, please tell them that you heard about this cruise from IIIrd Tyme Out. We will have material about the cruise at our live shows, as soon as it is available.

All of the guys are doing great. As many of you already know, Wayne Benson is back in the band. For those who aren't familiar with Wayne, he was the mandolin player with the group form 1992 until 2004. He left the band to go to work with The John Cowan Band, and stayed there until his return to 3TO. His first show back was in May, at the Bass Mountain Bluegrass Festival, Memorial Day weekend in Burlington, NC. We are sad to see Alan Perdue leave the group, but are as equally excited to have Wayne back. Wayne stepped in at his first show, and never missed a beat. He picked up where he left off 3 years ago.
We want to thank Alan for the 3 years of excellent service that he gave the band.He always gave 100% and will always be a member of the IIIrd Tyme Out family. We want to wish him good luck in his new endeavors. Alan has started a new business in his hometown.

Our sound tech Donnie Carver, just went into the recording studio and recorded an all gospel cd. Many of you aren't aware of Donnie's musical talents. He can play just about anything. He is playing mandolin and singing lead and harmony on this recoring. The recording also features Russell singing harmony, and Justen playing fiddle, as well as many top musicians. It is titled "An Offering Of Traditional Hymns." This project is now available. If you are interested in purchasing a copy, we have it on out concession table at all of our live perfromances, or you can email Donnie through this website.

The summer festival season has kicked up in high gear. So far this summer, we have played up and down the east coast, with a few trips to the mid-west. We are currently working on plans to go to the west coast, either later this year, or early next year. We will have these dates on our schedule, as soon as they are confirmed. We are trying to update the schedule as often as we can. Keep checking for updates.

Also, I wanted to let you know that you can check out Ray's booking agency at www.deatonagency.com, Chateau Music Group, our record label at www.chateaumusic.com, and my personal web site that I share with my daughter at www.sdilling.com. We also have an official IIIrd Tyme Out Myspace page. There are other IIIrd Tyme Out Myspace pages that are maintained by individuals not connected with 3TO, but click here to go to the official IIIrd Tyme Out Myspace page that we maintain and monitor. As always, we appreciate all of the emails, and look forward to hearing from you.

Steve
